Ihance Gets Email Monitoring Patent

July 21, 2006 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Sales and marketing software solutions provider iHance (ihance.com) announced on Thursday it has been granted a patent for monitoring the email and Web site behavior of an email recipient. The patent covered the instrumentation of emails so that the sender knows when the recipient has clicked through to the sender's Web site as well as the detailed Web behavior of the recipient. iHance's patent was granted under the case title "Method and system for monitoring email and Web site behavior of an e-mail recipient." "Web sites and emails are the primary online vehicles through which sales prospects acquire knowledge and make decisions," says Anders Knox, co-founder and COO of iHance.
