July 18, 2008 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Open source SaaS business solution provider Etelos (etelos.com) has partnered with online event management and registration firm Eventbrite (eventbrite.com) to bring the Eventbrite Storefront to the Etelos Marketplace.
Etelos Marketplace is a venue where developers can license, distribute and support applications, and where businesses can find and implement on-demand business applications. According to the announcement late last week, the addition of Eventbrite to Etelos' collection of applications will fill a niche for companies hoping to simplify event and seminar registration and marketing.
"We are delighted to be a part of the Etelos Marketplace," Eventbrite director of marketing Jack Mardack said in a statement. "Etelos caters to businesses looking for ways to operate better, smarter and more profitably using Web-based applications. This is a great place for Eventbrite."
Etelos Marketplace visitors will now have access to Eventbrite's end-to-end event management and registration services, including the ability to publish custom event registration pages to promote their events online. This includes tools for email marketing and instant online payment collection.
Eventbrite Storefront offers its services free for free events, but skims off 2.5 percent of ticket sales for paid events.
"The Etelos Marketplace gives businesses access to the best solutions to fit their needs," Etelos vice president and chief marketing officer Shelley Symonds said in a statement. "For businesses that are offering seminars, conferences or other meetings, the Eventbrite solution is a great fit and a great service."
