June 4, 2008 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Application delivery optimization company KEMP Technologies (kemptechnologies.com) said on Tuesday that it has launched a version of its load balancing and delivery control solutions designed for managed hosting providers.
The company says its LoadMaster application delivery products enable manage hosting providres to lower their total cost of ownership, while both increasing their value to customers and minimizing their hardware investment.
According to KEMP, the LoadMaster appliances "radically change the traditional load balancing approach by integrating powerful, stable, full-featured application delivery with the latest advancements in Layer-7 content switching and SSL acceleration technologies."
KEMP says that managed hosting provider REDPLAID (redplaid.com) has already deployed the LoadMaster technology. The press release includes a statement from REDPLAID VP of engineering Rusty Putzler, who says the tools have helped the company keep customers satisfied.
The press release describes the market for application delivery controllers as one with typically high costs. KEMP says its products make application load balancing affordable, making them more available to the SMB market through managed hosting providers.
"We are excited to bring our product offering to the managed hosting providers, who in turn provide affordable application delivery services specifically to the SMB market," says Kevin Mahon, CEO of KEMP Technologies, in the press release. "Many SMBs rely on hosted web solutions. By choosing KEMP, MHPs can provide optimum website performance, which is the key factor to the success of any web and e-commerce application initiative."
KEMP offers a multimedia demo of the LoadMaster technology to anyone who fills out an online form on the company's website.
