May 31, 2007 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Data center operator and managed hosting provider Hosted Solutions (hostedsolutions.com) announced on Thursday it has completed significant upgrades to the Boston data center. The company has invested nearly a million dollars in new infrastructure upgrades for the Charlestown, Massachusetts based Boston Datacenters since it acquired it six months ago.

These upgrades include a new network routing infrastructure, redesign of the interior layout promoting better cooling, improved data backup system, additional UPS power support, upgraded monitoring capabilities and increased security features.

"We are very excited about the changes made in Boston over our first six months," says Gary McAuliffe, VP and GM of the Boston facility. "The Charlestown facility has been a staple of the Boston Internet community for nearly seven years, and we are eager to keep our facility on the leading edge of technology and innovation."

Hosted Solutions also intends to invest another $1.5 million in upgrades over the next 12 months. Additional projects include a new power infrastructure suite, a redesigned network operations center, an upgraded security system and the addition of a storage area network.

The company recently announced it is providing managed hosting solutions for software as a service provider Origin Data.
