May 23, 2007 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- On-demand service provider Jamcracker (jamcracker.com) announced on Wednesday that it has formed a partnership with telecommunications provider XO Communications (xo.com) to deliver on-demand collaboration, mobility and security software applications to XO's small and medium-sized businesses customers.

To help reduce IT operating costs for SMBs, XO Communications will offer the Jamcracker suite of hosted on-demand software services to customers directly and through its reseller partners.

The applications include Arsenal Digital Solutions online desktop backup services, BlackBerry hosted services, McAfee Total Protection for Small Business, Microsoft Exchange email and Microsoft SharePoint collaboration server.

"With a hosted solution tailored to their needs, SMBs have enterprise-level IT sophistication at an affordable price," says Charlie Cary, VP of small business services for XO Communications. "The Jamcracker suite meets an important need of XO's customers, who now can focus on their business 100 percent without the distraction of running an IT system."

Last week, XO announced that its voice over Internet protocol solution bundle, XOptions Flex, now supports more than 10,000 business customers in over 55 major metropolitan markets across the US.
