May 12, 2008 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- On-demand infrastructure hosting provider Layered Technologies (layeredtech.com) reported on Monday that it has added a range of new offerings to its selection of dedicated server hosting plans.

The packages include new HP servers configured with Quad-Core AMD Opteron or Intel Xeon processors and the option to hold up to 12 hot swappable hard drives. Layered Tech says the new machines offer a "huge increase in the price-for-performance value equation."

Layered Tech's new server offerings follow shortly after the company took a major step up in the dedicated server business, announcing mid-April that it had acquired Fastservers.net, making the company one of the more significant players in the dedicated server business.

"Layered Technologies has a history of leading the market in next-generation technology and we'll continue to seek ways to maximize performance, optimize virtualization, increase levels of utilization and enable greater energy efficiency," says Todd Abrams, president and COO of Layered Technologies, in the press release. "These new name-brand server offerings are unrivaled and give our customers greater choices and unbeatable value."
