Verio Attracts Resellers with Free Month of VPS Hosting: Companies looking to boost revenues are finding Verio's Free VPS promotion the right fit for getting started as Hosting Reseller.

May 9, 2007 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Web hosting provider IPOWER (ipower.com) and Endurance International (enduranceinternational.com) announced on Wednesday that it has completed its merger to form the third-largest Web hosting company in the United States.

The deal, which closed last Friday, brings together more than 600,000 Web sites. Both companies will continue to operate as separate entities, while collaborating to capitalize on their strengths to deliver quality hosting, Web site services and support, says the company.

"While IPOWER and Endurance have each been successful on their own, it has been clear to both companies that continued success requires more scale and resources than either company could have alone," says Thomas Gorny, IPOWER CEO. "The ability of the merged companies to grow simultaneously through organic customer adds and acquisitions, along with new product offerings to our combined customer base, will make for an incredible force in the industry."

The new organization will use IPOWER's marketing resources, Endurance's operational expertise and the powerful backend capabilities of the combined organization positions to support its large customer base with exceptional hosting and new products and services, says the company.

"IPOWER and Endurance are both known for innovation," says Steve Sydness, CEO of Endurance International. "Together, we can lead the industry with best-in-class products and technologies that enable us to respond quickly to our dynamic industry—and address our customers' growing expectations."

PowWeb's migration to Endurance's datacenter was a wreck. iPower's will be too.

I was a Powweb customer who went through the disastrous change to Endurance. I left after much frustration and bad service. Condolences to iPower customers. Start looking for a new hosting service pronto.

Weeks without solutions to DNS problems and all they can say is "our engineers are working on it!"

Ipower already stinks, they are a miserable company with a terrible BBB rating for just cause.

45 minute wait times on tech support MINIMUM!

Since the "transition" it has been a nightmare, 1 1/2 hour minimum on hold only to get blown off by some clown without a clue. Tried the online Live support, another joke and minimum of an hour + before some incompetent peakload reject drops the connection because you took more than 10 seconds to type your complaint. Then there is the supervisor callback, don't change your plans waiting for that call.
