Sonasoft, Netswitch Sign Asia Deal

April 24, 2006 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Backup and recovery software developer Sonasoft (sonasoft.com) announced on Monday that it had partnered with IT management and engineering firm Netswitch Technology Management (netswitch.net) to create a distribution channel in the Asia Pacific, Australia and New Zealand region.

Netswitch operates offices in San Francisco, Hong Kong and Bangkok. The company is expanding its office in Thailand to be the first support center for Sonasoft products in the Asia Pacific region. The support center is expected to be fully operational by June 2006.

Sonasoft's SonaSafe product is designed to protect data from hardware and software failures, as well as from human error. Designed for Microsoft servers, it incorporates the latest disk-to-disk backup design, and offers an intuitive point-and-click recovery function.

"Sonasoft needed a partner to penetrate the Asia Pacific market and a company who understands the global and local market culture and has the ability to deliver the high service levels Sonasoft expects," says Andy Khanna, President & CEO at Sonasoft. "After several months of discussion, Netswitch Technology Management was chosen for its excellent customer service record and well developed channels in the Asia Pacific region."

In February, Sonasoft announced a distribution deal with European software distributor Enterprise International.
