Anchiva Launches Security Gateway
April 24, 2006 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Content security protection provider Anchiva Systems (anchiva.com) announced on Monday that it had launched the Anchiva Enterprise Content Security Appliance, a line of Internet gateway devices designed to remove spyware, spam and viruses.
The Anchiva-2000X, designed for enterprises and service providers, is capable of scanning at near-gigabit line rates. The company says its patent-pending high-speed technology delivers a solution that can scan the volumes of messages passing through today's networks without fear of bottlenecks.
Anchiva says its patent-pending technology uses optimized pattern-matching algorithms and ASIC acceleration combined with a high-speed memory bus to bring content protection to new levels of inspection speed. The product's performance rates are partly attributable to its programmable search engine that can access a database of 1 million signatures stored in high-speed memory. The vast memory for signatures means the product can defend against dormant malware with long life cycles, while accommodating the new malware signals identified every day.
"With the advent of drive-by installations of spyware, phishing and keyboard logging, the sophistication and dynamic nature of malware has created a state of siege for the enterprise," says Richard Hanke, vice president of business development and marketing, Anchiva Systems. "Business cannot afford security holes or protection that slows down business operations. Customers can now consider a comprehensive, centralized solution with up-to-date protection that protects all entry points into the network."
