The combination of the companies creates a comprehensive, end-to-end solution for implementing, integrating, hosting and managing the WebSphere Commerce application, says USi. The company says that with the acquisition, it reinforces USi's commitment to working with the IBM WebSphere family of products and expands its existing WebSphere Commerce practice.

Rhett Daniel, president of Daniel IT, will join USi as senior director of WebSphere Commerce to lead the expanded practice. In addition, USi says it expects to retain Daniel IT's staff and offices in Madison, Alabama.
USi also recently announced it has successfully completed an American Institute of Certified Public Accountants SAS 70 Type II examination for the seventh consecutive year.
