April 12, 2007 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Infrastructure services provider PEER 1 Network Enterprises (peer1.com) announced on Thursday it has partnered with e-commerce and marketing services provider ControlScan (controlscan.com).

This partnership enables PEER 1 to offer its dedicated hosting customers an affordable solution for scanning their servers for the latest vulnerabilities, as well as satisfying the stringent payment card industry compliance scan requirements.

"PEER 1 has been very pleased working with ControlScan in delivering a customized SaaS-based scan inclusive of an on-demand scan portal for our customers," says Ted Smith, VP of PEER 1's dedicated hosting division. "The scan service will allow PEER 1 to be proactive to alert customers on new vulnerabilities and changes to customer server environments. The scan service also allows us to bundle consultation services to address and correct vulnerabilities."

PEER 1 uses ControlScan's PCI-approved scanning solution to provide a safe platform from which their customers can perform online business. PEER 1 customers will be actively scanned for over 14,000 known vulnerabilities with a database that is updated twice daily, ensuring their servers are safe and protected from recent threats.
