April 4, 2008 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Managed hosting and colocation provider UnitedLayer (unitedlayer.com) announced on Friday it is once again expanding its turn-key data center space at the Digital Realty Trust (digitalrealtytrust.com) facility located at 200 Paul Avenue in San Francisco, California.
This marks UnitedLayer's third expansion in seven months at the facility, increasing its turn-key data center space by an additional 6,000 square feet.
"Our goal is to consistently be ahead of the curve and exceed the needs of our clients for conditioned datacenter space," says Arman Khalili, CEO of UnitedLayer. "Since this is our third expansion in 200 Paul within the last seven months, we have definitely shown that we are meeting their needs."
The company says it has seen a growing demand for its scalable managed Internet infrastructure services, leading UnitedLayer to acquire more space to offer more facility options to existing and prospective customers.
Founded in 2001, UnitedLayer is a North American Internet enabler that offers a range of Internet infrastructure solutions including managed bandwidth, colocation and infrastructure services in multiple data centers strategically located throughout North America.
With 71 properties under its belt, Digital Realty Trust owns, acquires, redevelops, develops and manages technology-related real estate. The company says it is focused on providing turn-key data center and Powered Base Building data center solutions for domestic and international tenants in various industries.
Digital Realty Trust began constructing a built-to-suit data center facility for banking and financial services institution HSBC in January.
