Web Host iWeb Adds GigE to Network

April 3, 2006 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Web hosting provider iWeb Technologies (iweb.ca) announced on Friday that it has added a new gigabit ethernet network connection to Level3 provided by Videotron Telecom to enhance and expand the capacity of iWeb's network.

IWeb's network offers 4Gbps of capacity and provides customers with high redundancy and reliability.

"Few providers in Canada can offer 2,000 GB of traffic or a 10Mbps unmetered network connection with a low budget dedicated server," says Martin Leclair, co-founder and COO of iWeb. "But that's not enough, with the opening of our new data center to come, we still plan to double our network capacity in the next year and keep the same affordable prices."

Founded in 1996, iWeb offers a range of shared hosting, dedicated servers and colocation to a customer base spread across 95 countries. Its data centers include 25,000 square feet of floor space.
