SWsoft Releases Plesk 8.0 Control Panel

March 29, 2006 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Server automation and virtualization software provider SWsoft (swsoft.com) announced on Wednesday it has released Plesk 8.0 for Linux/Unix control panel. SWsoft previewed the product to service providers earlier this month, adding more than 40 new features to the major upgrade for hosting providers, resellers and end users.

Plesk 8.0 for Linux/Unix features a new custom desktop capability that provides administrators and end users with more control and convenience by enabling clients to have their own desktops with a customizable set of essential tasks and statistics. The interface is task oriented and fully customizable to meet the varying needs of hosting customer, from non-technical users to advanced technical users. 

Additional features include customizable interface templates, domain aliases, improved Virtuozzo integration, an updated backup utility, integrated Acronis True Image module, enhanced system monitoring and a more efficient auto installer.
