eFileCabinet Signs Colocation Deal with C7 Data Centers

  • By Justin Lee, March 12, 2010

(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Web hosting and colocation provider C7 Data Centers (www.c7dc.com) announced on Friday it has signed an agreement to house the enterprise content management infrastructure of eFileCabinet (www.efilecabinet.com).

The announcement comes a month after C7 signed a multi-year colocation agreement with Answers Corporation, which develops leading "answer engine" property Answers.com, as well as WikiAnswers and ReferenceAnswers.

Provo Utah-based eFileCabinet provides content and document management products, storage services and online data backup solutions.

Its solutions include its electronic document management system eFileCabinet, client portal/file sharing service SecureDrawer, and online backup service Concentsus.

eFileCabinet CEO Matt Person said the company chose C7 because it is a "trusted partner that could help us host and deliver world class, always-on data management applications," as well as its need for a "local data center to ensure physical access to our hardware" as it scales its applications for additional customers.

C7 operates four data centers in Utah spanning more than 40,000 square feet of space. The company provides a range of services, including  web hosting, disaster recovery, virtualization and data backup solutions.

"We are pleased to have gained eFileCabinet's confidence and we look forward to helping them grow by providing a secure data center facility to house their enterprise content management infrastructure," says Nathan Hatch, president and CEO of C7. "We are growing rapidly and are focused on ensuring our customers’ business success by delivering the highest level of security and data center performance."
