Verio Attracts Resellers with Free Month of VPS Hosting: Companies looking to boost revenues are finding Verio's Free VPS promotion the right fit for getting started as Hosting Reseller.

March 10, 2008 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Web hosting provider Sitestar (sitestar.com) recently  announced it has acquired the assets of Internet service and hosting provider Comcation. Sitestar is reportedly pursuing a number of similar acquisitions in 2008.

The transaction is the first major acquistion since last November's landmark purchase of nearly 40,000 subscribers sold and marketed under the Nationwide Internet, InReach Internet and DFW Internet brands that were formerly held by Maryland-based MobilePro. The largest deal in Sitestar history, the acquistion is said to have doubled the company's revenue, as well as helped expand the company through additional customer acquisitions and develop new-growth initiatives in Web hosting services and voice over Internet protocol.

"Comcation's blend of access and hosting customers represents the ideal customer composition that Sitestar is targeting for acquisition," says Sitestar CEO Frank R. Erhartic, Jr. "Our strategy is to continue to leverage our economies of scale within the narrowband segment to generate revenue that will drive new growth in opportunistic market segments such as web hosting which, like dial-up, has strong profit margins but, also, the added benefit of customer 'stickiness.' We welcome the former Comcation customers to Sitestar and look forward to providing them with unparalleled service and support."

Headquartered in Lynchburg, Virginia, Sitestar says it offers business-grade Internet access, Web hosting and other Internet related products. The company says it offers multiple sites of operation and provides services to customers throughout the US and Canada.

Apparently, Sitestar also bought Comcation's list of CANCELLED customers. We just received a bill from Sitestar for almost ten years of "past due" Comcation ISP service that was cancelled ten years ago.

Sitestar is a non-host service. They just send you bills and cannot be reached. I have been trying to get a refund for 3 months and sent certified mail to the CEO. Zip just another bill. No one is there, no phones are answered and the former comacation office is nothing but an empty office space with a sign out front.
How does Mitchell Smith get away with this. He also has other internet companies that use the same fake address.
