(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Managed hosting provider and data center operator Fusepoint Managed Services (www.fusepoint.com) announced on Tuesday it has named Sam Ikomi to vice president of data center facilities.

The company recently reported it ended its 2009 fiscal year with $47.3 million in revenue, and also experienced 40 percent earnings growth in its 10th year in business.

In this role he is responsible for the design, maintenance, staffing and reliability of the company's critical data center facilities' infrastructure across Canada.

Ikomi has over 28 years of experience in international data center engineering expertise, overseeing significant critical assets with Fortune 500 companies.

Most recently he was accountable for Microsoft's 256,000 square foot data center in Virginia.

Prior to Microsoft, Ikomi was employed by Fannie Mae where he was responsible for its facilities in Northern Virginia, Washington, DC and Maryland.

Ikomi was also employed by IBM as a program manager/advisory engineer in its data center engineering and critical facilities support organization for the North Eastern United States.

He holds many different industry certifications including CFM, Professional Engineering license, FMA, SMA and SMT.

"Meeting the growth demands of a rapidly expanding services firm takes industry talent second to none, which we have found in Mr. Ikomi," says George Kerns, president and CEO of Fusepoint. "Welcoming Sam to our executive team builds on our strategic vision of being the most innovative managed hosting provider in Canada."
