February 10, 2006 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Web hosting provider ThinkHost (thinkhost.com) announced on Friday that it is putting its support behind efforts to oppose the Bush administration's claiming the right to impose wire tapping on American citizens.

The Portland-based company has pledged support to the American Civil Liberties Union, Center for Constitutional Rights, Global Exchange, and over three-dozen other non-profits working to oppose the Bush Administration on the issue.

ThinkHost is also offering a two to one matching program for customers who donate to any of the supported non-profits. For every dollar a customer gives to one of the approved organizations, ThinkHost will provide the customer with two dollars of free Web hosting services, up to a maximum of $50 annually.

"It seems almost as though Mr. Bush and I were taught different editions of the Constitution," says ThinkHost's executive director, Vladislav Davidzon. "He needs someone to explain to him that what he is doing is not only wrong, but is plainly illegal. We are throwing our weight behind the groups that are exposing the lies and seek to actually rectify the issues."

In December of 2005, ThinkHost announced that it had completed a switch of its facilities to 100 percent renewable energy.
