Verio Attracts Resellers with Free Month of VPS Hosting: Companies looking to boost revenues are finding Verio's Free VPS promotion the right fit for getting started as Hosting Reseller.
January 29, 2008 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- UK domain registrar and Web hosting provider Hostway (hostway.co.uk) announced on Tuesday that it has signed a new partnership with Tilana Systems (tilana.com). Under the agreement, Hostway will provide managed hosting services for Tilana's storage platform, including system architecture and monitoring, billing, provisioning and customer relationship management tools.
On top of providing infrastructure and customer support services to Tilana, Hostway is also marketing Tilana's data protection service, Tilana Reserve, through its Gate.com hosting brand under the name GateVault. The service features a unique pricing structure called PayOnce where for a $2 per GB one-time fee, subscribers can store any personal or business media, whether it's a backup copy or offloaded as an archive. The desktop software is a free download and requires little configuration. Users can enable an unlimited number of computers and selectively protect and synchronize files and folders on those computers using a single GateVault account, says the company.
"Our customers are accumulating data at an astonishing rate, and the need to protect and manage that valuable information is also growing" says John Enright, Hostway's VP of marketing and business development. "Since they already entrust us with the storage and management of their website data, providing an advanced tool such as GateVault to manage the rest of their critical data is a natural extension of the value that we provide to our customers."
Tilana Reserve is a premium online data management service that includes encrypted continuous data protection, folder and file sync across multiple computers and automatic unlimited versioning, all through a secure and Web accessible personal digital archive.
Last week, Hostway began offering new customers two months of free service when they sign up for a 12-month contract on any of its new IBM sourced dedicated servers.
