January 24, 2007 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Domain registrar eNom (enom.com) announced on Wednesday it is working with Microsoft to enable the new domain registration services feature in Windows Live Custom Domains (domains.live.com).

"Microsoft understands the importance of providing its customers an opportunity to create permanent, unique, personalized addresses on the Web while using its Windows Live services, and we are helping make this possible," says Paul Stahura, president of Demand Media. "Our strategy is to offer world-class infrastructure, tools and domain knowledge to companies like Microsoft to put the power in the hands of the customer."

Windows Live Custom Domains enables consumers to create custom Windows Live accounts in their personal domain, which then works with Windows Live and MSN services, including Mail, Messenger and Spaces. Users who do not have domains and wish to create them can use eNom to register top level domains and provide identity protection.

eNom is an ICANN accredited registrar that specializes in domain name registration and related services. It currently ranks as the second largest domain name registrar worldwide with nearly 9 million names on its platform.
