January 23, 2007 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Managed dedicated server provider SingleHop (singlehop.com) announced on Monday it has already netted 400 million pieces of spam through the use of Barracuda Networks' (barracuda.com) Barracuda Spam Firewall - Outbound appliance. "Spam is one of the most insidious problems with email today," says Zak Boca, CEO of SingleHop. SingleHop says that 95 percent of the mail received and filtered is spam, which relieves 40 percent of the load on servers.
