GlobalSign Reports 2007 Growth
Verio Attracts Resellers with Free Month of VPS Hosting: Companies looking to boost revenues are finding Verio's Free VPS promotion the right fit for getting started as Hosting Reseller.
January 18, 2008 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Certification authority and security provider GlobalSign (globalsign.com) announced on Friday that it has achieved an impressive 180 percent growth rate in 2007 for its SSL certificate products.
GlobalSign had a significantly busy 2007, which included revamping its brand, opening new worldwide offices and rolling out of new products, solutions and systems. Backed by its new parent company, GMO Internet, GlobalSign says it is now well positioned and competing directly with market leading CA VeriSign.
The company's new reseller system was also launched in 2007 to meet the needs of Web hosts and ISPs by offering them affordable SSL certificates. Many resellers joined the GlobalSign partner program in 2007, which included a high profile partnership with Verio and German aggregator CPS-Datensysteme switching from GeoTrust to GlobalSign.
"2007 was a busy year for GlobalSign with the re-launch, a greatly expanded management team and a company refocus around speed, innovation, excellent customer service and the development of solid technology partnerships with the likes of Adobe and SafeNet," says Paul Tourret, managing director of GlobalSign. "In 2008, GlobalSign will look to take the SSL market by storm with the announcements of yet more feature rich products and services that are unrivalled in their ease-of use, reliability, functionality and most importantly, cost effectiveness."
Last week, Axentra announced that it has licensed GlobalSign's SSL certificate technology as part of the company's new HipServ Advanced Security Subscription.
