Verio Attracts Resellers with Free Month of VPS Hosting: Companies looking to boost revenues are finding Verio's Free VPS promotion the right fit for getting started as Hosting Reseller.

January 16, 2008 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Dedicated hosting provider The Planet (theplanet.com) announced on Tuesday that it has launched Super Server Sale, a pricing promotion on select servers from its offerings. The promotion lasts until January 28.

Under the Super Server Sale, the Celeron 2.4 is available at $92 per month, a cost savings of 16 percent. The company is also offering the Dual Xeon 2.4 priced at $143 per month at a savings of 32 percent and the offer is good while limited supplies last.

"To keep pace with the changing needs of our customers, we're offering temporary special pricing on two of our most popular servers," says Urvish Vashi, director of product management with The Planet. "For customers looking for a solid price/performance equation, these servers clearly meet that requirement."

In related news, Stan Barber, the Planet's vice president of network operations, delivered an address on Monday at the 30th annual Pacific Telecommunications Council "Telecom with Vision" tradeshow.
