Verio Attracts Resellers with Free Month of VPS Hosting: Companies looking to boost revenues are finding Verio's Free VPS promotion the right fit for getting started as Hosting Reseller.
January 16, 2008 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Web hosting software provider SWsoft (swsoft.com) announced on Tuesday that Mark Zbikowski, a former Microsoft architect and pioneer software developer, has joined the company as a senior technical advisor. In this role, he will assist SWsoft as a resource to the development team and advisor to senior management.
Zbikowski previously worked at Microsoft leading efforts in MS-DOS, OS/2, Cairo and Windows NT. He designed the DOS executable file format, used in MS-DOS executable files, and his initials "MZ" appeared in the headers of that file format.
After being honored in 2006 for his 25 years of service with Microsoft, a milestone only reached by executives Bill Gates and Steve Ballmere, Zbikowski retired in June 2006. He is currently a lecturer at the University of Washington.
"Mark's experience with the creation of system components for the most widely-used software in the world, Microsoft Windows, is highly relevant to our work," says Serguei Beloussov, CEO of SWsoft. "He is among the world-leading experts in system software and we look forward to his contributions as we deliver on our 'Optimized Computing' vision."
Last week, SWsoft introduced a series of virtual private server plans starting at $25 per month.
