The company says the .pro TLD is designed to provide a distinct Internet presence for professionals. Registrants must undergo a verification process to verify their eligibility for using the extension, which will be initially available to only doctors, lawyers and CPAs. Each registration will include a digital certificate for authenticating communications and transactions.

SunOne saw its market share drop by 0.07 percent, while Zeus’s share remained steady at 1.63 percent.
