Colocation Firm Telx Offers Customers Morphlabs Private Cloud Solution

January 13, 2012 — Cloud computing platform developer Morphlabs announced on Tuesday that it has partnered with colocation firm Telx to deliver the hosted private cloud solution to Telx customers. Morphlabs also announced that it is the first cloud provider to join the Metro Ethernet Forum, the defining body for Carrier Ethernet. This announcement comes a few months after Morphlabs appointed former E*Trade executive Lee Thompson its chief technology officer.

December 27, 2011 — Data center operator Telx announced on Tuesday it will expand into a 215,000-square-foot, three-story data center at 2 Peekay Drive in Clifton, New Jersey. The location was previously the site of the chemical company Abrachem Group.

Telx Opens New Data Center at Vantage Site in Santa Clara

December 6, 2011 — Telx announced on Monday it has opened a 32,000 square feet C3 Cloud Connection Center in the new Vantage-built data center in Santa Clara. The facility is Telx’s 17th Cloud Connection Center, which offers premium colocation and interconnection services that support up to 400 Watts per square foot within the green-designed Vantage Data Centers campus.

November 18, 2011 — Data center firm Telx announced on Thursday its plans to build a data center adjacent to its 100 Delawanna Avenue location in Clifton, New Jersey. Telx says it will break ground in late 2011 and the building, including phase one of its colocation space, will be ready in late Q4 2012.

August 8, 2011 — GI Partners announced on Monday it has sold its colocation provider The Telx Group to investment firms ABRY Partners and Berkshire Partners. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The acquisition follows the company’s IPO to raise intended to raise up to $100 million. At the time, the company said it would use the money to accelerate the growth of its business through expanding its data centers, as well as through acquisitions.
