August 11, 2004 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — European-based Web hosting provider Via Net.Works (vianetworks.com) announced on Monday that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire PSINet Europe (europe.psi.net), a provider of IP-based communication services. Under the terms of the deal, Via Net.Works will acquire PSINet Europe’s operations in Belgium, France, Germany, the Netherlands and Switzerland. PSINet Europe’s UK operations and headquarters are not part of the acquisition.

VIA NET.WORKS Makes Changes for SME Focus
