December 1, 2011 — Rackspace announced on Thursday via its blog it has introduced the MySQL Cloud Database Private Beta program. Available to US customers by invitation only, the program is aimed at customers running relational databases in the cloud that are experiencing poor and inconsistent performance as a result of the limitations of their hardware virtualization platform.
