November 15, 2011 — European colocation provider Interxion announced on Tuesday it will build its sixth data center in its Amsterdam campus area. The data center, dubbed AMS6, will provide about 13,123 square foot of equipped space with 10 MW of customer available power.

Since the beginning of January, local energy provider Energie Opfikon AG has supplied the data center with its Aquastrom hydroelectricity product, which uses naturally flowing water instead of storage plants.
