Rackspace Acquires New Data Center

October 25, 2004 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Web hosting provider Rackspace Managed Hosting (rackspace.com) announced on Monday that it has acquired a 55,000 square foot data center facility in Grapevine, Texas. Rackspace said the newly acquired facility, its fifth, doubles the company’s data center capacity and provides additional geographic redundancy. The company said it now has more than 20,000 new servers to accomodate the company’s rapid growth.
