McAfee to Acquire ScanAlert

October 30, 2007 — McAfee announced on Tuesday that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire ScanAlert for approximately $51 million in cash up front and with an earn-out of up to an additional $24 million if certain performance targets are met.

Covad Acquired by Platinum Equity

October 29, 2007 — Telecommunications provider Covad Communications Group announced on Monday that it has agreed to be acquired by Platinum Equity for approximately $304 million in cash.

Covad Offers McAfee Services

October 22, 2007 — Web hosting provider Covad announced on Thursday that it has partnered with security solution provider McAfee to offer its customers McAfee Total Protection for Small Business services.

Covad to Acquire DataFlo

November 6, 2006 — Web hosting and integrated voice and data communications provider Covad Communications Group has entered into an agreement to acquire most of the assets of Chicago-based broadband wireless provider DataFlo Communications.

NextWeb Offers Emmys Broadband

June 29, 2006 — Voice and data communications provider Covad recently announced that its subsidiary NextWeb will provide wireless broadband through its channel partner DuTel for the Emmy Awards, which will be held on August 27.

Covad Names New Board Member

April 27, 2006 — Integrated voice and data communication provider Covad Communications Group announced on Thursday that it has named Robert M. Neumeister, Jr. to its board of directors.

Covad Names John Trewin CFO

March 3, 2005 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Internet service and Web hosting provider Covad Communications (covad.com) announced on Wednesday the appointment of John E. Trewin as senior vice president and chief financial officer, effective March 16, 2005. Trewin replaces current chief financial officer Susan Crawford, who has resigned to pursue an opportunity with another company.

Covad Resells Hostopia Web Hosting

November 2, 2004 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Internet service and Web hosting provider Covad Communications (covad.com) announced on Tuesday that it has introduced a suite of email and Web hosting services for its small business customers powered by private label Web hosting provider Hostopia (hostopia.com). Covad’s hosting services will include email webmail, a Web design tool, Web reports, free anti-spam and virus protection, a Web-based account management tool and round-the-clock customer support.

Covad Hosts Internet History Event
