July 7, 2011 — Technology giant Dell announced Wednesday it opened a data center in Shanghai in support of its cloud initiative, which it revealed earlier this year, according to a blog post on the company’s website. Marking the first of its kind for Dell in the Asia-Pacific and Japan regions, the data center will host public and private clouds and provide customers with off-premise application and storage services.
June 13, 2011 — IT infrastructure services provider Telehouse America announced on Monday it is further expanding into China’s South Coast with the TELEHOUSE Hong Kong CCC, a new 118,000 square foot data center. Scheduled to begin service in December, this new facility offers premier carrier neutral data center services with a focus in cloud computing.
