February 8, 2012 — Digital certificate authority Trustwave admitted via a blog post on Saturday that it issued a SSL certificate to a private company to spy on SSL-protected connections within its corporate network. This move has caused some in the Mozilla community to suggest Trustwave’s root certificate be removed from Firefox.
February 7, 2012 — Web hosting provider Webzilla announce on Tuesday it has received the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard data security standard, having successfully undergone an audit and received version 1.2.1 certification. The company said that the hardware, software and business processes fully met the security requirements, reassuring those financial institutions that must comply with PCI DSS that they can rely on Webzilla for their hosting needs.
