AMD Names Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer

October 19, 2011 — Core processor provider AMD announced on Wednesday it has named Mark Papermaster the company’s SVP and CTO. He will report to president and CEO Rory Read and will oversee all of AMD’s engineering, research and development, and product development functions as the head of the newly-formed technology and engineering group.
