Web Host NaviSite Offers Oracle Software Licenses to ISV Customers

November 21, 2011 — Web hosting provider NaviSite announced on Monday that it will now offer monthly Oracle software licenses to its independent software vendor customers. NaviSite is a platinum level partner of Oracle’s partner network. According to the press release, NaviSite ISV customers will be able to take advantage of usage-based billing.

Oracle to Acquire Cloud Solutions Firm for $1.5 Billion

October 24, 2011 — Database software giant Oracle announced on Monday that it will acquire customer service solutions provider RightNow Technologies for about $1.5 billion. The terms of the deal were not disclosed. The deal follows two previous acquisitions announced by Oracle in the past few months including management solutions provider InQuira and storage firm Pillar Data Systems.
