ICANN Expected to OK .travel

November 11, 2004 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — According to reports, the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (icann.org) has entered into negotiations with Tralliance Corporation for administrative control over the .travel sponsored top-level domain. Tralliance, based in New York, is an organization developed to enhance online commerce between travelers and the travel and tourism industries.

Stargate to Resell New.net Domains

New.net, based in Los Angeles, offers domain name extensions that are logical and easy to remember. These include extensions such as .travel, .shop, .family and .kids. Under the partnership, Stargate will be able to resell New.net’s entire range of domain name extensions, the first time a New.net partner has even done this, the company said.

RegisterFly Offers New.net Domains
