February 2, 2012 — Microsoft announced on Monday that it is working with startup accelerator TechStars to provide startups with up to $60,000 of Windows Azure compute and storage at no cost. TechStars accelerators in Boulder, Colorado, Boston, New York, Seattle and Texas will have access to Windows Azure over a 24-month period.
January 30, 2012 — Certificate authority and Internet security firm GlobalSign announced this week that it had appointed Ryan Hurst, a 10 year veteran of Microsoft’s security business, as its new chief technology officer, charging him with developing the company’s overall technology vision, product architecture, standards and compliance.
