September 16, 2004 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Web hosting provider WebXess, also known as Webii.net, (webii.net) announced on Tuesday that it has acquired the shared hosting and e-commerce hosting accounts of VeriCenter (vericenter.com) company AppSite Hosting (appsitehosting.com) and certain assets of Sprint’s (sprint.com) Dellhost (dellhost.com), which VeriCenter acquired earlier this year. The company did not release financial details of the deal, or the number of customers acquired.

Netcraft Says Seeweb Most Reliable

July 7, 2004 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Italian Web hosting company Seeweb (seeweb.it) was the most reliable Web hosting provider for the second consecutive month, according to research and analysis firm Netcraft (netcraft.com). Seeweb, which runs on Linux, experienced a rate of only 0.02 percent failed requests.

June 2, 2004 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Italian Web hosting provider Seeweb.it (seeweb.it) has the most reliable Web hosting company Web site, according to monthly data published by research and analysis firm Netcraft (netcraft.com). Jumpline.com (jumpline.com), which topped last month’s list, came in second followed by Dellhost (dellhost.com) in third. Hostway (hostway.com), iPowerWeb (ipowerweb.com), myhosting.com (myhosting.com) and Pair Networks (pair.com) occupied positions four through seven, while About.com (about.com), 1and1 (www.oneandone.com) and Cee-Kay (cee-kay.net) rounded out the top 10. According to Netcraft, seeweb.it recorded a failed request rate of 0.04 percent. Jumpline followed closely with 0.05 percent and Dellhost, Hostway, iPowerWeb, myhosting.com and Pair Networks all recorded 0.06 percent rates.

Komplex Most Reliable, Netcraft Says

April 5, 2004 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — German Web hosting provider Komplex.net (komplex.net) had the most reliable Web site in March, going an entire month without incurring any failed requests, Netcraft’s (netcraft.com) research says. Myhosting.com (myhosting.com) and InetU (inetu.com) were the second and third most reliable hosting sites, while New York Internet (nyi.net), pair Networks (pair.com) and Energis (energis.co.uk) were fourth through sixth respectively. Cee-kay (cee-kay.net), DellHost (dellhost.com), British Telecom (bt.com) and Yahoo (yahoo.com) rounded out the top ten.
