Cincinnati Bell Explores Restructuring, Investment Options for Data Center Business CyrusOne

February 10, 2012 — Telecommunications provider Cincinnati Bell announced on Friday its plans to restructure or acquire financing for its data center division, operated by colocation firm CyrusOne. Cincinnati Bell acquired CyrusOne in June 2010 for $525 million to bolster its data center and colocation business. In 2011, CyrusOne generated revenues of approximately $185 million.

CyrusOne Expands Interconnect Business, Names VP and GM of Interconnection

January 31, 2012 — Colocation provider CyrusOne announced on Tuesday it is entering the interconnect business on a broad scale, and to support this initiative the company has appointed Josh Snowhorn as vice president and general manager of interconnection. January 6, 2012 — Colocation provider CyrusOne announced on Thursday it has acquired a 30-acre parcel of land north of Dallas to build a 700,000 square foot data center. CyrusOne expects the data center to have close to 400,000 square feet of raised floor data center space to provide customers with about 60,000 square feet of class A office space once completed.
