Web Host Savvis Hires Away Microsoft, Amazon Cloud Executives

November 15, 2011 — Web hosting provider Savvis announced on Tuesday that it has named James R. Parker as senior vice president, Americas sales, and Daniel Patton as vice president and general manager of cloud services. Parker joins Savvis from Microsoft where he held a senior sales position, according to the press release. Patton previously ran the Americas sales team for Amazon Web Services.
