Mathew Baldwin has been working within the hosted services space for the last ten years. In the past he has held roles as architect, senior systems engineer and regular troubleshooter, consultant for Microsoft-based platforms with multiple hosted services companies. He was instrumental in bringing to market the first highly-available, clustered Windows 2003 shared hosting platform and has worked closely with Microsoft on a variety of initiatives. His current focus is on the emerging SaaS market space and how hosting companies can evolve their architectures to address this new need. Through his theWHIR blog, he will discuss hosted architectures and the evolution of existing platforms to address the needs of ISVs bringing their applications into the Web-space. Baldwin currently works as a senior architect for Hostway Corporation.
