July 9, 2002 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Web server technology developer Zeus Technology Ltd. (Zeus.com) announced, in conjunction with HP (HP.com), on Monday that that it has released a 64-bit optimized version of its flagship Zeus Web Server, optimized for Intel?s new Itanium 2 architecture and the HP-UK 11i and Linux operating systems.
The new server, says Zeus, is designed for deployment on HP?s new rx2600 and rx5670 servers. The companies have worked together during the development of the Itanium 2 project to ensure that the software performs on both HP-UX and Linux.
