June 15, 2004 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Zeus Technology (zeus.com) announced on Monday that it had released version 4.3 of the Zeus Web Server software.
According to the company, the new version boasts greater SSL capabilities. "Zeus Web Server continues to dominate the independent SPECweb99_SSL benchmarks, however managing Internet security remains a major business concern," says John Paterson, CEO of Zeus Technology. "With this in mind, SSL performance and stability has been improved on all platforms with this latest release of Zeus Web Server, allowing businesses to handle even more e-commerce transactions over the Internet."
Zeus Web Server 4.3 also features additional user enhancements including closer integration with PHP, more flexible CGI management, updated mod_perl support, improved directory listings, automatic Mime type detection and additional reporting and analysis capabilities.
According to Netcraft's (netcraft.com) June Web server survey, Zeus platforms held a 1.48 percent share of the Web server market.
