December 4, 2002 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Business data and Internet communications provider WorldCom (WorldCom.com) announced on Wednesday that voice and data solutions provider Intervoice Inc. has selected Worldcom to provide Internet colocation services.
WorldCom says it is providing Intervoice with access to its global data center footprint and Internet backbone. Colocating its Web servers in WorldCom?s hosting facilities allows Intervoice to eliminate the capital and staffing expenses of an in-house solution. Direct connections to WorldCom?s UUNET IP network allow Intervoice to maximize its performance and dependability.
"When companies, like Intervoice, rely on the Internet to do business, they rely on WorldCom," says Dennis Richardson, director of WorldCom Managed Service Solutions. "Our Internet expertise, global IP backbone and advanced data centers allow us to exceed our customers' most demanding performance and reliability requirements. We guarantee it."
According to WorldCom, Intervoice?s hosting solution is covered by the WorldCom?s six-point service level guarantee, assuring 100 percent network and power availability, 99.5 percent packet delivery and other key metrics.
