(webMethods.com) announced on Wednesday that it has formed a strategic alliance with India?s Tata Consultancy Services (TCS.com) to provide onsite and offshore consulting services to joint global customers.

The companies say they will build a jointly staffed offshore development center to support the alliance, which will see TCS?s reach and integration expertise combined with webMethods? integration software, allowing customers to deploy webMethods solutions more efficiently and effectively.
Asia?s largest independent software and services organization, TCS services clients in over 55 countries, and has annual revenues of $880 million. The alliance, says webMethods, will build upon TCS?s strong international presence and its relationship with webMethods, providing services that will extend webMethods? Professional Services Organization. TCS will also be the preferred partner for offshore product development, helping round out webMethods? library of integration adapters. The two companies will also participate in joint sales and marketing activities.
