September 13, 2005 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Canadian Web hosting firm Big Host (bighostinc.com) and Snowball Media & Design (snowballmedia.com) announced on Thursday that they had helped to finance a fundraising benefit to generate support for the victims of Hurricane Katrina.
The companies say they are sponsoring a Black and Beads Mardi-Gras Ball and Silent Auction, as well as a Mardi Gras Party and Parade to help the hurricane's victims.
"We will also be offering our services free of charge to the organisers of these events." said Collin Snowball, Founder of Snowball Media. "We are deeply saddened by the devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina, we are honoured to do our part in helping in any way possible."
The event will take place in Edmonton, Alberta on September 22. All proceeds will go to benefit the Salvation Army.
