July 27, 2004 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Redbus Interhouse Netherlands B.V. (redbus.nl), the Netherlands division of Europe's colocation and managed services provider, announced on Tuesday that it has extended the connectivity options available to its customers by becoming an authorized partner of the Amsterdam Internet Exchange.
The partnership is just a part of the growth strategy of Redbus Interhouse Netherlands, which has seen a year-on-year growth of 83 percent in revenues. After meeting the requirements detailed in the AMS-IX partner program, Redbus Interhouse can pass on to its customers the advantages of being an AMS-IX partner.
These benefits include lower upstream connectivity costs through the ability to interconnect and exchange IP traffic directly with other AMS-IX members, and the easy and relatively inexpensive exchange of IP traffic at a national and international level through BGP peerings, as the bulk of Dutch ISPs and additional international ISPs are members of AMS-IX.
