August 8, 2005 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Data center automation software developer Opsware (opsware.com) said on Monday that it had introduced the new shell technology Opsware Global Shell.
Opsware Global Shell extends the reach of existing shells and enables centralized management of Unix, Linux and Windows servers from a single universal shell. It can run concurrent operations on hundreds to thousands of systems in parallel and can organize servers into logical groups for enhanced chance management and troubleshooting.
"The introduction of Opsware Global Shell provides IT with a secure and centralized platform from which to manage all corners of the enterprise," says Tim Howes, CTO of Opsware. "We provide the framework for cross-platform, automated management, from a single command line. Opsware now gives IT the power to deliver new levels of efficiency and cost savings across customer environments."
Opsware Global Shell is available with purchase of the Opsware Server Automation System.
