November 4, 2002 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Managed hosting provider NaviSite Inc. (NaviSite.com) announced on Monday that it has partnered with Progress Software Corporation unit the Progress Company to develop a managed service practice for supporting the company?s ISV and ASP partners.
The relationship, says NaviSite, will allow thousands of independent software vendors to create and deploy application software as a service without developing infrastructure. The product will allow ISVs to become ASPs in order to meet the growing demand for subscription-based application services.
