December 7, 2004 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Employee Internet management solution provider Websense, Inc. (websense.com) announced on Tuesday that communication service provider Infonet Services Corporation (infonet.com) is integrating Websense Enterprise Web filtering and Web security functionality into its managed security services portfolio. Infonet's multinational enterprise customers can now manage their employee use of the Internet, promoting productivity while limiting corporate security risks and legal liability.
Infonet owns and operates The World Network, a global data network of more than 2,600 multinational organizations in more than 180 countries and territories, providing secure and reliable services, including Internet access for employees.
Infonet's Managed Security Services portfolio includes firewall services, intrusion protection services, and additional security services, such as network threat analysis capabilities, authentication services, instant message control and antivirus protection.
"The risk of unmanaged Internet usage in the workplace is a growing concern for our clients," says Martin Dipper, VP of security services for Infonet. "With large corporations in particular, there are tremendous productivity benefits that come with defining and enforcing policies for Internet usage. Add in additional protection from Internet-based threats to the network and protection from legal liability risks, and the value of Websense to our clients becomes clear."
